city target in chicago

July 26, 2012 § 2 Comments

As reported by the New York Times this morning, the new wave of urban retail is open in Chicago. No mention of the building that houses it (other than an ill-phrased reference to downtown’s “odd architecture” being an impediment to chain retail in dense downtowns). I was there for the festivities on opening day. The building looks beautiful and Target did a decent job of featuring the interior architectural details.
It’s going to be a huge success in the Loop.
